Let’s say you have decided to quit Smoking once and for all. Now how many times have you been at this point before? Too many to remember right?
When you’ve tried and failed so many times before you are bound to have a few doubts about your ability to be successful and are probably half expecting to fail once again and so you only go into it half hearted and maybe you are not sure if it is even worth bothering to try yet again.
Stop right there!
To begin with you have to put all the other failed attempts behind you and remember that failures are actually useful too, in that they teach you what doesn’t work for you, they are just like practicing something to get it right.
You need to go into this fresh, with the attitude that this is the time you will succeed and all those other practice attempts have been preparing you for the success you are going to have this time. Remember practice makes perfect, so now prepare to surprise yourself and succeed in becoming a Non-smoker.
Now the first thing you need to do is decide that you are ready to quit. Then try to think of any reasons that you think would prevent you from being successful and accept those things as a challenge, not a threat to your success. You can achieve anything you put your mind to.
Then you need to think about all the things that will be better once you are a non-smoker eg better health, breathing more easily, not getting puffed when you walk up hills or stairs, more money in you pocket( the average pack a day smoker spends around $3500 every year on cigarettes) won’t it be nice to have that extra money in your pocket.
No longer a slave to that dirty filthy habit, no longer having to smell like stale cigarette smoke and being able to be a better example to your children or grandchildren and be around for them for many years to come.
Now the next thing you need to do is acknowledge that it might take you a while to get used to being a non-smoker after all it has been normal for you to smoke for many years and any change takes a bit of time to adjust to, but you will adjust if you persevere with your desire to be a non-smoker.
When you use my system to quit smoking you will find that even if you do have a craving it only lasts about 30 seconds and will pass. It only gains strength when you dwell on it, the craving is only like an idea that pops into your head and is then replaced by the next idea and forgotten. So if you can distract yourself from the cravings if they pop into your head they will pass quickly without incident. The hypnotherapy helps you to ignore cravings should you have any so much more easily so that they are only a minor distraction and pass ever so quickly, with a minimum of fuss and you will find that you are so much more calm and relaxed and are actually able to really enjoy becoming a non-smoker.
Then it is important to be prepared for any stress that you might experience due to withdrawal symptoms from the nicotine leaving your body so drink plenty of water over the first few days to flush the nicotine out of your body as quickly as possible. Do something to relax several times a day, practice some relaxation and remember to take some deep breaths to replace the breathing you do when you smoke. remember cigarettes are a stimulant they don’t relax you but the way you breathe does so remember to take some nice big deep breaths when ever you feel like a cigarette.
Remember using hypnotherapy to quit smoking is a very pleasant way to rid yourself of this dirty filthy addictive habit it alleviates the withdrawal symptoms and helps you get through those tough times more easily so you can remain a non-smoker and helps to keep you from replacing cigarettes with food or other bad habits.

How does it feel to be hypnotised?
You may be wondering how it feels to be hypnotised…..Hypnotherapy is a very pleasantly relaxed state of altered consciousness much like a daydream. My therapy is suggestion driven you are not asleep just very relaxed, when in the state of hypnosis positive suggestions are given into your subconscious to help you make changes to your behaviour so you can quit addictions or habits such as Smoking, Gambling, Alcohol or many other addictions or alter other things in your life that you want to improve such as eating better or exercising more.
During hypnosis you are very aware and hear what is being said to you during the session, you may notice a few sensations such as numbness or tingling in your hands or feet, you may feel heaviness in your arms or legs as your muscles relax, you may see colours like yellow or blue or purple or you may notice a very pleasant floating sensation, even though you know you are sitting in the chair but you feel as though you are floating above the chair it is a very pleasant feeling. Other than those sensations you won’t feel anything strange, you just feel relaxed and calm.
You naturally go into an hypnoidal state as you go off to sleep each night, you may remember sometimes drifting off to sleep and then dreaming that you are slipping or falling and you wake yourself up with a jump or you kick your legs out. This happens when the change over from the hypnoidal state to the sleep state is too quick it is due to a change in the brain waves as you drift off to sleep.
With Hypnosis the idea is to keep you in the hypnotic state rather than having you go off to sleep, you are much more receptive to suggestion in the hypnotic state.

With the news about bored Melbourne housewives turning to gambling and spending a combined 10 million dollars each month on Poker machines it seems the world really is going crazy. Can you imagine what else they could do with the money and the time they are throwing away. Everyone knows the odds of winning on Poker Machines are ridiculous and yet people continue to chase their losses by continuing to gamble.
